// The Five Character Classes
The Five Character Classes
A Class is a kind of work, and it has two faces. In the world it is a character you can picture. In the Codex it is a contract about output: what the work must contain, where it belongs, and what has to happen to it before it becomes something else.
Every piece of work an AI agent produces has a shape — a thing done, a reading of what is true, a finding brought back, a state kept current, something made to be felt. Five shapes cover the work of a company. Name the shape and you already know what the output has to contain and what has to happen to it next.
Ask the question once per kind of output, not once per agent. One Character can hold more than one Class, and the useful ones often do. A single Character working a commerce zone might find the supplier, write the listing copy, and push it live — that is one Character holding three Classes, not three Characters. What it must not do is blur them. A finding is still a finding. A draft is still a draft.
