What the framework contains
REALM defines the language, roles, written world, autonomy boundaries, goal hierarchy, and operating rhythm of a human-agent company. The written world is the Codex. It is not memory for the crew, it is your position of record. It is technology-agnostic: it sits above the agent platform and the knowledge base you already use. It asks for one board, and that board is a file in the Codex. A project tool can show it. It cannot hold a second copy.
The PDF is the stable versioned document. The website and Markdown edition provide more accessible routes to its core concepts, plus examples, videos, field notes, and reference material around it.
- 01The world
Player, Oath, Destiny, Zones, Characters, Operating Modes, and where the framework does not fit.
- 02The five Classes
Warrior, Mage, Hunter, Cleric, and Bard, the shape of the output each one produces, and the Character File.
- 03The Codex
Why it is a position of record and not memory, the root structure, DECISIONS/, and the two questions about tooling.
- 04Goals, autonomy and rhythm
Oath to Task, the three boundaries for Character freedom, what enters the Realm from outside, Sessions, Energy, the Scroll, Save Points, and the Quest Board.
- 05Growth
The radial organigram, Patches, Guilds, and multiplayer.

Version history
Version 2.0
A revision, not a replacement. Agents stopped being narrow and passive, so every rule that described a limit of the machine was re-examined. Classes became the shape of the work rather than a fence around an agent, Autonomy Tiers were re-cut on reversibility, decisions got their own home in the Codex, and the Character Card and SOUL file merged into one Character File.
Version 1.0
Initial public release. Still available at realm-framework-v1.pdf for anyone who cited it.
